With expertise in diverse areas such as geometric modeling, geometry processing, computational fabrication, and machine learning, we strive to create algorithmic solutions for digital content generation. Our research efforts are dedicated to revolutionizing content creation, geometry generation, realistic rendering, and physical simulations in applications ranging from computer games and movie productions to virtual reality and 3D design.

This internship focuses on generative modeling using modern machine learning got the creation of virtual geometric worlds in computer graphics. It offers a unique hands-on experience in cutting-edge research and development in these areas, with applications ranging from computer games and movie productions to virtual reality and 3D design.

This internship opportunity aims to provide practical exposure to the fields of deep learning and generative modeling in computer graphics. By working closely with our research team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ongoing projects and gain valuable insights into the advancements and challenges in content creation and geometry generation.

DESCRIPTION OF YOUR FUTURE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • assist in research activities related to geometric modeling, including efficient representation, manipulation, and analysis of complex 2D and 3D shapes;
  • contribute to the development and implementation of generative modeling architectures and approaches to enhance geometry generation for computer games, movie productions, virtual reality, and 3D design applications;
  • collaborate with researchers on real-world projects, gaining hands-on experience in computer graphics, machine learning, and creative technologies;
  • contribute to the experimental design, data collection, and analysis of research findings;
  • participate in discussions, brainstorming sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities with the research team;
  • gain exposure to state-of-the-art tools, software, and techniques used in the field of geometric modeling and generative modeling;
  • prepare and present research findings and contribute to the preparation of reports, documentation, or conference papers.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS, WE ARE SEARCHING FOR:

  • interns who are currently pursuing or have recently completed their undergraduate (licencjat) or graduate studies (magister or mgr inz.) in computer science, applied mathematics, physics, or a related field,
  • strong interest and some prior experience in geometric modeling, generative modeling, machine learning, or computer graphics will be advantageous but are not required,
  • programming skills, analytical thinking, and a passion for exploring innovative solutions,
  • proactive approach to solving scientific problems and issues,
  • strong analytical and critical thinking skills,
  • ability to work in a team,
  • advanced command of English.

WE OFFER:

  • contract for a definite period – 3 months;
  • monthly salary of PLN 6 000 gross;
  • working with high-level scientific personnel in an international environment;
  • participation in research and development projects implementing the latest solutions in the field of artificial intelligence.

As part of the extension of the internship:

  • contract for a definite period of up to 2 years;
  • remuneration of PLN 8 000 gross;
  • working with high-level scientific personnel in an international environment;
  • flexible working hours in a hybrid system;
  • private medical care;
  • participation in the Medicover Benefits programme (sports card) and co-financing of tickets to cultural events;
  • participation in research and development projects implementing the latest solutions in the field of artificial intelligence;
  • competence development programme and conducting research with the assistance of experienced scientists;
  • support in accommodation for the duration of the stay at the registered office of IDEAS NCBR (trainees from outside Warsaw).
